OBEDIENCE (BLUE)
Memory text:(Romans 6:16 RV)
Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves as servants unto obedience, his
servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto
righteousness?
servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto
righteousness?
Story:
One morning, Jonah was praying and ask God, what am I to do today? And God
told him, Go to Nineveh and preach to that city, for I am giving them forty
days.but Jonah fled to Tarshish. On the way to Tarshish the sailors had to battle the
storm God sent. (Jonah 1:5 KJV)
Then the mariners were afraid,
and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship
into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of
the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
(Jonah 1:6 KJV)
So the ship-master came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish
not.(Jonah 1:7 KJV)
And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let
us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they
cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
and they throw Jonah into the sea and
God sent a big fish to swallow Jonah.
